Microsoft might soon introduce a cloud storage service for Xbox Music. According to LiveSino, the OneDrive Music Locker will allow users to upload music to OneDrive, which will then be streamed to Xbox Music on different devices.
This new OneDrive feature will allow users to store and stream music that is not already in the Xbox Music Store and this should be a great addition to the already existing scan-and-match feature. It is also expected that the music feature will allow dragging-and-dropping of music files onto a desktop folder.
If the OneDrive feature does roll out, Microsoft music capabilities will be taken closer to those offered by Google and Amazon.
Officially the OneDrive Music Locker has not been announced, but due to its presence on OneDrive, it is probably undergoing in testing and may be revealed to users soon.
